AcuityMD is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its application teams to help build artificial intelligence platforms utilized by medical technology organizations. In this position, engineers will contribute to both current and upcoming product iterations while collaborating alongside product managers, designers, and peers. The work involves developing end-to-end features across web and mobile platforms designed to assist medical device sales teams, marketers, and sales operations. The ideal professional thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates autonomy and accountability, and applies modern agentic development practices to deliver effective software solutions.
Candidates will work across multiple technology stacks including TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, Python, and SQL. Team members are encouraged to mentor junior colleagues, investigate new tooling for optimal scalability, and utilize data insights to resolve performance hurdles. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers, engineers, product managers, and designers to shape software solutions
- Develop core features and workflows for web and mobile products
- Analyze performance data to identify product enhancements and resolve issues
- Streamline internal processes and contribute to team culture
- Explore and integrate new tools and technologies to improve system scalability
- Mentor and share technical knowledge with newer engineers
- Build using agentic development tools like Claude Code and Codex
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience as a software engineer working within a product domain
- Full-stack proficiency with technologies such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and relational databases like Postgres
- Experience working with Google Cloud services such as BigQuery
- Valid work permit in the United States
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience building agentic experiences involving tool use, function calling, multi-step reasoning, or orchestration frameworks like LangGraph
