Abnormal AI is hiring a Senior ServiceNow Platform Engineer for a full-time, on-site role to design, build, and operate enterprise-grade platform capabilities that back vital business operations. This position suits an organized, detail-oriented professional who remains calm under pressure and enjoys tackling complex technical problems. In this capacity, the engineer will own platform stability, configuration, and optimization while advancing strategic initiatives in automation, knowledge management, and Agentic AI. Key duties include managing Agile backlogs and ticket queues, producing standard operating procedures, and reporting weekly platform metrics to IT management.

The person in this role will partner closely with developers, administrators, and stakeholders across SaaS and IT departments to support long-term platform strategies and everyday workflows. Responsibilities involve troubleshooting intricate platform difficulties, supporting major releases and high-impact incidents, and conducting routine security, access, and configuration audits. The employer provides an environment focused on maintaining platform health while driving modern technological improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and support the ServiceNow platform including workflows, integrations, and automations
  • Troubleshoot complex platform issues and handle major releases, high-impact incidents, and platform-wide changes
  • Design and enhance Agentic AI and automation capabilities to reduce manual work and promote self-service
  • Create and maintain knowledge articles and standard operating procedures outlining governance and best practices
  • Conduct routine audits, maintenance, and reviews covering access, security, and configuration
  • Manage the team ticket queue against service level agreements and oversee the Agile backlog and sprint priorities
  • Present key platform metrics to IT management on a weekly basis
  • Collaborate with IT and SaaS administrators, developers, and stakeholders to support workflows and strategy

Requirements

  • 5+ years of communication and collaboration experience translating complex ServiceNow concepts into guidance
  • 5+ years of technical leadership and governance experience including mentoring and design reviews
  • 5+ years of prioritization skills with 3 to 5 years managing Agile backlogs and ticket queues against SLAs
  • 7+ years of advanced ServiceNow development including Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP, and Glide scripting
  • 7+ years of complex issue troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
  • 1+ years of experience with ServiceNow Agentic Workflow and AI Agents
  • 1+ years using Claude Cowork or Claude Code for ServiceNow development
  • 1+ years configuring and securing ServiceNow MCP Server/Client integrations
  • 3+ years of experience with Hardware Asset Management, Employee Center, Now Assist, and Operations Workspace
  • 1+ years of experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, and JSM

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a ServiceNow platform owner, lead engineer, or architect
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA or CAD, with advanced certifications preferred
  • Familiarity with broader agentic AI and LLM tooling and governed enterprise AI assistant use
  • Advanced Atlassian administration skills paired with enterprise security and compliance knowledge
