The person in this position will plan and execute rigorous security assessments across corporate environments, physical locations, infrastructure, and applications. Responsibilities

  • Share the findings and projects of the Offensive Security Team with stakeholders across the company
  • Collaborate with internal groups to design solutions balancing security with other organizational priorities
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other members of the Offensive Security team
  • Plan and execute red team operations and extended assessments simulating real-world threat actors
  • Perform penetration testing and threat modeling across corporate, infrastructure, and application environments
  • Build scripts and custom tools to automate security testing workflows
  • Collaborate with detection and response units to execute adversarial simulations and elevate incident readiness
  • Communicate findings clearly and partner with engineering groups to fix identified security vulnerabilities
  • Lead security incidents that stem from penetration test or red team discoveries
  • Participate in adversarial simulation exercises with multiple security groups

Requirements

  • Have at least six years of professional background conducting advanced penetration testing or red team operations
  • Demonstrate a proven passion and history for challenging established security assumptions
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored for audiences ranging from engineers to executives
  • Show a commitment to actively fixing security flaws rather than only discovering them
  • Understand common network standards and protocols such as TCP/IP and DNS
  • Work comfortably with Linux and MacOS operating systems
  • Understand modern software stacks to evaluate risks in cloud environments like AWS and GCP, CI pipelines, and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understand defensive mechanisms such as IDS, IPS, packet capture, EDR, and antivirus software, along with methods to evade them
  • Demonstrate a deep comprehension of the MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Maintain a strong grasp of identity and access security fundamentals
  • Read and write JavaScript, Go, and Python fluently
  • Research and execute testing plans targeting new processes or technologies
  • Collaborate effectively within a distributed team
  • Communicate clearly through text-based mediums including email, Slack, GitHub, and JIRA
