This full-time position acts as a primary financial advisor to the product, engineering, and design divisions. The person hired will take charge of operating expenditure tracking, infrastructure costs, and personnel forecasting while creating automated reporting systems for better corporate insight.
This opportunity fits a seasoned financial professional who excels at partnering with technical leadership, translating engineering roadmaps into economic choices, and navigating complex corporate datasets. The role requires building bottom-up headcount models, conducting cloud and AI compute expense analysis, and driving monthly budget-versus-actual reviews. Responsibilities
- Manage operating expenses and staff budgets across product, engineering, and design divisions while maintaining efficiency and margin targets
- Develop bottom-up personnel models by department and level to align hiring schedules with technical roadmap requirements
- Forecast expenditures for cloud infrastructure, AI compute, internal software tooling, and enterprise platforms
- Evaluate build versus buy scenarios, research and development capitalization, and vendor choices based on return on investment
- Facilitate monthly budget versus actual evaluations for technical divisions with automated reporting and accrued accuracy
Requirements
- Bring over eight years of experience working in strategic finance or financial planning and analysis at a high-growth technology enterprise
- Demonstrate a history of supporting technical and corporate groups to connect product velocity with financial performance
- Possess deep familiarity with SaaS economics, cloud cost drivers, artificial intelligence scaling, and vendor margins
- Show expertise in designing workforce models across multiple departments under strict financial constraints
- Create complex scenario-based financial models that feature sensitivity analysis and clear assumptions for executive review
