The company currently seeks a Senior Category Lead for Art within the Primary Market to bring operational structure and team guidance to the photography and direct-from-the-artist categories.
This position suits an experienced operational and team leader with a genuine interest in contemporary art and the primary art market. The person in this role will partner with the Senior Category Manager to translate strategy into practical initiatives, build an engaged culture founded on accountability, and coordinate cross-functional efforts with marketing, sales, and human resources.
Candidates have the opportunity to work in a hybrid setup at the Amsterdam headquarters at least two days per week, or remotely depending on the arrangement. Responsibilities
- Establish structured operational rhythms by converting category priorities into actionable plans with defined milestones and owners

- Cultivate ownership and accountability by setting clear expectations and coaching personnel on their strengths
- Drive employee engagement through regular one-on-one sessions, constructive feedback, and professional development support

- Coordinate cross-functional projects alongside sales, marketing, and partner teams from initial planning through execution
- Participate in cluster management discussions to align on priorities and report blockers
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in operational leadership, setting priorities, and ensuring reliable execution within a commercial, sales, or category team
- Proven background in team leadership, coaching, and supporting colleagues to achieve performance goals
