Responsibilities
- Deliver healthcare regulatory guidance to clients and project teams to maintain compliance with safety codes and government standards
- Direct complex or high-risk healthcare facility regulatory projects and conduct relevant compliance research
- Create and execute compliance plans, licensing strategies, and training programs for hospital personnel
- Lead mock surveys, document reviews, and audits of human resources and medical staff files
- Manage activation and transition regulatory projects for facility openings, renovations, expansions, and relocations
- Oversee project finances, forecast monthly expenses and hours, and build comprehensive schedules
- Identify required licensing and regulatory filings including initial requests, bed changes, and service expansions
- Compile regulatory resource materials such as Title 22, TJC standards, and CMS Conditions of Participation
- Examine project design plans and collaborate with team members to spot and resolve potential compliance risks
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent industry expertise and experience
- Significant years of working experience in the healthcare sector
- Familiarity with standards and agencies such as AIA, ACHE, ASHE, TJC, CDPH, HCAi, CMS, AAMI, and AAAHC
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet
- Working knowledge of Visio and Access
- Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time for full-time staff
- Capacity to remain stationary for up to 80 percent of the day and walk for up to 90 percent of the day during mock surveys
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
