The selected intern will assist across multiple functional areas, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, HR operations, communications, data analytics, and dedicated special assignments.
The role operates on-site in Maryland. Candidates must be able to work on location part-time during the internship phase and transition to full-time on-site employment following graduation if offered a permanent role.
Responsibilities
- Manage employee lifecycle data updates in UKG for hires and departures
- Maintain organized, confidential employee records and documentation
- Handle contractor onboarding and renewals in coordination with Legal and Procurement teams
- Assist recruitment tasks by publishing job listings, organizing interviews, and managing candidate correspondence
- Coordinate onboarding logistics like orientation scheduling, material preparation, and welcome packages
- Process offboarding documentation and termination paperwork
- Run HR reporting and data maintenance tasks to boost process efficiency
- Drive assigned projects focused on improving internal employee experiences
Requirements
- Available for twenty to thirty hours per week with schedule adaptability
- Ability to work on-site at the Rockville, Maryland facility
- Capacity to transition into full-time employment following graduation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Capacity to maintain discretion when managing confidential information

- Current college senior or recent recipient of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, Communications, Organizational Development, or related disciplines
