Figma is seeking a Payroll Program Manager to join its team on a full-time basis. This individual contributor position focuses on scaling global payroll operations, leading complex initiatives across AMER and EMEA, and supporting APAC requirements. This role suits a professional who combines deep payroll knowledge with program management capabilities, operational execution, and cross-functional collaboration. The position can be performed from a US hub or remotely within the United States.
In this capacity, the selected candidate will guide payroll projects from initial planning to final implementation, including vendor transitions, international launches, system integrations, and process optimizations. The person will partner closely with internal teams like Benefits, HRIS, Accounting, and People to translate business adjustments into effective payroll solutions. Additionally, the role involves maintaining involvement in daily payroll operations to assist with review, validation, troubleshooting, and processing coverage when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of payroll projects from planning through execution, covering vendor changes, new country launches, and system integrations
- Collaborate with regional payroll groups to establish requirements, manage dependencies, spot risks, and finish projects
- Work alongside Benefits, HRIS, Accounting, and People departments to convert business updates into payroll solutions
- Coordinate with international payroll vendors to execute project deliverables, address operational challenges, and manage risks
- Find methods to simplify, standardize, and automate payroll procedures across multiple regions
- Participate in full-cycle payroll duties such as auditing, validation, problem-solving, and processing backup
- Develop program management frameworks, records, and visibility for the global payroll portfolio
- Apply data, technology, automation, and AI tools to enhance payroll efficiency, internal controls, and the employee experience
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of experience working in global or multi-country payroll, featuring hands-on involvement across AMER and EMEA
- Demonstrated background in directing payroll deployments, vendor switches, system integrations, or international expansions
- Practical understanding of payroll workflows spanning from initial calculation to reconciliation and issue resolution
- Experience interacting with international payroll vendors and cross-functional partners, with required Workday expertise
- Strong program management, prioritization, and execution skills to influence teams without direct authority
Qualifications
- Background within a fast-paced SaaS or technology industry setting
- Practical familiarity with ADP Compliance alongside other international vendor systems
- Exposure to supporting APAC payroll functions, vendor consolidations, or global payroll transformations
- Acquaintance with equity, mobility, benefits, or pension-related payroll matters
- Experience implementing automation or artificial intelligence to optimize payroll tasks
