Stash is a financial technology company seeking an Operations Associate to join its Fraud and Disputes team on a remote basis. In this role, the professional will focus on customer-centric investigations, dispute resolutions, and maintaining effective risk management protocols within a lean operations group.

This position suits an analytical professional with experience handling transaction disputes, remote deposit checks, and fraudulent activity assessments. Team members work within a flexible environment that supports productivity from home, an office, or both.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate card and ACH disputes following Reg E, Mastercard, and debit network regulations
  • Resolve customer disputes within mandated regulatory timeframes
  • Handle the complete chargeback lifecycle using Mastercard network rules to reduce financial risks
  • Examine, process, and make decisions on remote deposit capture checks, returns, and adjustments
  • Examine suspicious account behaviors, demographic data, and high-risk transaction patterns to spot and stop fraud
  • Prepare clear, well-written investigative summaries documenting data-driven dispute determinations
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance risk management and operational processes
  • Utilize modern technology, including artificial intelligence tools, to streamline procedures

Requirements

  • Three to five years of professional background in mobile deposit capture processing alongside debit card and ACH dispute investigations
  • Familiarity with consumer payment standards, Nacha guidelines, Reg E, and network regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict regulatory deadlines and network timeframes accurately
  • Competence in analyzing complex transaction histories and behavioral patterns to identify anomalies
  • Capacity to evaluate conflicting or incomplete information to reach logical conclusions
