In this role, you will determine whether tasks warrant automated coverage via Playwright and BrowserStack or focused manual analysis. Responsibilities

  • Establish testing strategy and quality standards across multiple concurrent projects
  • Build and maintain automated test suites utilizing Playwright and BrowserStack
  • Conduct deep manual and exploratory testing on new or high-change-rate assignments
  • Translate project requirements into detailed test plans and clear acceptance criteria
  • Communicate technical risk and negotiate testing timelines with project stakeholders
  • Manage defect reports in Jira and verify fixes thoroughly upon retesting
  • Mentor other quality assurance engineers in manual techniques and automation practices
  • Adopt and champion AI tools appropriately within the development workflow

Requirements

  • Six to eight years of experience in software quality assurance or testing
  • Hands-on expertise building automated test suites with Playwright
  • Practical background using BrowserStack or similar cross-browser platforms
  • Strong background in manual, exploratory, and regression testing
  • Proficiency with Jira issue tracking, linking, and ticket creation
  • Experience testing across diverse CMS or SaaS platforms
  • Exceptional communication skills for presenting risk to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Prior experience acting as a technical or testing lead on large initiatives
