OpenAI is seeking a full-time Program Manager, Technology Capital Builds to work on-site in London. In this position, the professional oversees technology capital construction projects by coordinating across internal groups like Corporate IT, Real Estate and Workplace Services, and Corporate Security to plan and deploy technical solutions for new office locations, remodels, secured facilities, industrial labs, and datacenters. The work encompasses low voltage systems, ISP connectivity, network infrastructure, audio visual equipment, and physical security scopes.
This role suits an experienced coordinator capable of guiding site launches so that network infrastructure and low voltage utilities are ready for staff on day one. The responsibilities involve meeting scope, budget, schedule, and quality targets alongside construction partners and vendors, ensuring dependable audio-visual setups, and integrating surveillance and access control systems with enterprise security standards. Leadership receives portfolio visibility regarding risks, dependencies, and decisions, while the global portfolio benefits from standardized documentation, drawing packages, and specifications.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal teams, construction partners, and vendors to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives for Capital Builds
- Ensure new sites launch with secure and reliable low voltage systems, network infrastructure, and ISP connectivity ready from day one
- Manage audio-visual installations across conference rooms, training areas, digital signage, wayfinding, and all hands venues for a dependable user experience
- Integrate intrusion detection, surveillance, and access control systems with enterprise security requirements
- Provide leadership with visibility into portfolio status, dependencies, emerging risks, and key decisions
- Establish standards, specifications, drawing packages, and documentation to drive global operational consistency
- Oversee procurement, budgets, and vendor investments across the portfolio with disciplined stewardship
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks early to preserve business continuity and operational readiness
- Commission, document, and transition all systems to support teams with clear ownership models
Requirements
- Demonstrated project and program management capabilities
- Familiarity with the architectural design process including schematic design, construction documents, and design development
- Understanding of commercial real estate construction processes
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in vendor management encompassing vetting, RFPs, bid responses, performance management, and handovers
- Comprehension of mechanical power, cooling systems, and capacity planning
- Ability to read engineering and construction plan drawings
Qualifications
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
