Job Description

CODEPATH LIMITED is seeking a Grant Writer for a remote, full-time contract position lasting nine months. As the largest educator of college computer science students in the United States, the organization has trained over 40,000 learners across more than 1,000 universities and recently launched a major AI workforce initiative alongside partners like Anthropic and Google. This position sits within the Philanthropy Partnerships team and goes beyond traditional nonprofit fundraising by engaging national foundations and corporate supporters to back student outcomes and technical programs.

This role is ideal for an experienced institutional writer who is comfortable leveraging artificial intelligence to build scalable workflows, reusable narrative assets, and automated systems rather than just polishing drafts. The person in this position will partner closely with finance, delivery, data, and higher education departments to transform complex program metrics and student stories into compelling proposals and reports. Success in this role requires managing concurrent deadlines, conducting independent data synthesis, and establishing frameworks that empower internal account owners to lead high-value opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support major grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and concepts from initial prospecting through final submission while meeting all funder guidelines.
  • Act as a lead or supporting writer on key funder reports and maintain proper documentation across funder portal accounts and internal tracking platforms like Asana.
  • Build and maintain a shared library of reusable narrative assets, including boilerplate language, program descriptions, and impact proof points.
  • Collaborate across internal departments such as Finance, Delivery, Higher Education, and Data to gather program updates, metrics, and student stories for donor-facing materials.
  • Develop AI-enabled workflows, proposal templates, and writing frameworks to automate routine tasks and enhance the overall output of the fundraising team.

Requirements

  • Possess five to seven years of professional experience writing institutional and corporate funder proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience building AI-driven systems and streamlining recurring workflows using tools like Claude or ChatGPT beyond basic drafting.
  • Perform independent data synthesis by querying finance and data teams to transform raw statistics into accurate narrative text.
  • Work effectively at a rapid pace while managing concurrent deadlines and shifting organizational priorities.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in workforce development, education, or youth-serving non-profit organizations.
  • Background in a technology, social impact, or tech-adjacent environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM management, particularly HubSpot.
  • Experience utilizing project management platforms such as Asana.
  • Ability to create simple visual assets using tools like Canva.
