Job Description
Launchpad Technologies acts as a global technology partner that connects professionals with high-impact projects and specializes in product development and staff augmentation. The organization is currently hiring a Functional Consultant for a full-time, remote contract position starting in September 2026.
This customer-facing role involves guiding international clients through the implementation of an AP Automation and Spend Management cloud platform. The ideal candidate has a background in finance, accounting, or procurement and has transitioned into software implementations.
Daily work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM PST. The professional will serve as a trusted advisor, managing multiple implementations simultaneously, leading discovery sessions, configuring systems, and supporting testing and go-live phases.
Responsibilities
- Manage implementation projects while tracking timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Lead functional consulting activities and discovery sessions to uncover business requirements
- Analyze client finance and procurement workflows
- Configure systems based on business needs using best practices
- Advise organizations on automation opportunities, process improvements, and matching rules
- Guide user acceptance testing, training sessions, and go-live events
- Promote platform adoption to help clients achieve business value
- Handle multiple concurrent software implementations while delivering a strong customer experience
Requirements
- At least five years of hands-on experience implementing SaaS platforms, financial systems, or enterprise resource planning software
- Demonstrated ability to balance functional consulting and project management duties during rollouts
- Thorough knowledge of spend management, accounts payable, source-to-pay, or procure-to-pay processes
- Ability to work autonomously and directly with clients during software deployments
- Skill in translating business workflows into functional system configurations
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities
- Professional English proficiency for interacting with clients
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Medius
- Experience with Oracle Financials or Oracle NetSuite
- Background in SAP FI or MM
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX, Finance and Operations, NAV, or Business Central
- Experience working with Infor M3
- Familiarity with Coupa, Basware, Ariba, or Jaggaer
- Experience using Power BI, SQL, or other business intelligence and reporting tools
