The International Government and External Affairs team, sitting inside the Legal, Compliance & Corporate Affairs division, currently seeks an External Affairs Strategist to handle sustainability and financial education initiatives. This position operates on-site three days per week in Menlo Park, California, New York, New York, or Washington, DC.

The person in this role will drive programs that connect the company mission directly to communities, specifically working toward an objective to educate one million individuals via structured classroom settings by 2030. Key responsibilities involve managing partnerships, scaling financial literacy programming like Robinhood Money Drills and Readiness, tracking metrics, overseeing budgets, and supporting environmental, social, and governance reporting activities.

This hands-on, execution-focused position suits professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments with ambiguous challenges and a collaborative operating style. Candidates must possess several years of relevant background in community affairs, non-profit partnerships, or corporate social impact. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily execution and continuous enhancement of financial education programs including Robinhood Money Drills, Readiness, and K-12 initiatives
  • Maintain relationships with existing financial education partners and expand the network of partner universities
  • Track, measure, and report program metrics to internal and external audiences
  • Handle budget lines, vendor invoicing, contract negotiations, and partner onboarding
  • Draft concise briefing documents, program updates, and partner-facing materials quickly
  • Collaborate with Government Affairs, Communications, and Legal teams to align community programming with broader company messaging
  • Build sustainable, scalable operational processes for financial education functions
  • Support ESG and sustainability reporting by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners

Requirements

  • Four to six years of experience in community affairs, nonprofit partnerships, financial education programs, corporate social impact, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting external partnerships with nonprofits, foundations, or community organizations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and timely responsiveness
  • Program and project management abilities to handle multiple workstreams alongside staff, consultants, and vendors in a fast-paced setting
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a self-starter mentality to build programs from the ground up
  • Ability to track internal metrics and report externally on program impact
  • Low ego, collaborative operating style, and passion for the company mission
