Collibra seeks a full-time Engineer, Security Operations & Engineering to join its growing security organization. In this position, the professional will build and operate systems that protect customer data and company infrastructure. The successful candidate will apply automation and engineering skills to establish zero-trust architectures, manage threat detection, and handle incident response. This opportunity suits analytical, collaborative technologists who want to enhance defense capabilities through engineering excellence. Performance milestones include understanding the infrastructure in month one, contributing to workflows by month three, and implementing security automation by month six. The standard base salary spans from $116,000 to $145,000 per year, complemented by a total rewards package that includes a Flex Fund monthly stipend, retirement plans, bonus potential, and health coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure cloud architectures incorporating zero-trust principles and identity controls
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and manage threat detection to address risks
  • Lead incident response procedures using threat intelligence to prevent cyber threats
  • Maintain compliance with established security standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST
  • Provide documentation and evidence to support internal and external security audits

Requirements

  • Have at least 5 years of professional background in Information Security, Security Engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of CI/CD workflows and infrastructure as code
  • Possess experience securing cloud environments including AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Bring hands-on familiarity with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, and incident response tools
  • Hold US citizenship and reside on US soil
  • Show proficiency in utilizing AI tools to resolve challenges and optimize workflows

  • Possess a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent related work experience
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of data analysis and data science concepts and tooling such as SQL and Python
