Natera is seeking a remote Director, Rare Disease Product Marketing & Sales Enablement to shape the market presence and adoption of Zenith genomics. The organization functions as a global leader in cell-free DNA testing, focusing on oncology, women's health, and organ health to integrate personalized genetic diagnostics into standard patient care. This role oversees strategy implementation in the rare disease diagnostics sector, coordinating product messaging, sales enablement, market access pull-through, and cross-functional collaboration. The selected professional will translate complex scientific data into clear narratives, equip the sales team with effective tools, and streamline the customer adoption journey from initial contact to routine ordering. Initially operating as an individual contributor with expectations to build a team over time, the position demands a combination of analytical capability and hands-on execution. Ideal candidates pair rigorous data interpretation with field credibility, possessing the ability to navigate complex clinical settings while building resilient partnerships across medical, commercial, and regulatory teams.
Responsibilities
- Own product positioning and messaging frameworks for Zenith genomics, translating genomic science into value propositions for clinicians and health systems
- Develop sales and customer assets including brochures, clinical summaries, and digital content while managing compliance review workflows
- Maintain competitive intelligence on the rare disease genomics landscape to provide differentiated positioning for the field
- Design and execute onboarding and ongoing training for the sales team regarding science, competition, and value stories
- Map and optimize the customer adoption path from initial call to routine ordering and EMR integration
- Partner with Market Access to convert reimbursement developments into field-ready messaging
- Define and track key performance indicators measuring funnel health and ordering behavior
- Manage assigned budgets and vendor relationships to secure measurable return on investment
Requirements
- At least eight years of commercial experience in diagnostics, genomics, or life sciences
- Demonstrated success supporting or leading product launches in complex clinical diagnostics or specialty settings
- Direct experience partnering with a field sales organization across training, tools, and analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or Marketing
- Advanced degree such as an MBA, MPH, or advanced scientific degree
- Experience working in genomics, rare disease, or precision diagnostics
- Prior experience managing or developing a team
