Storyblok is hiring a remote Developer Relations Engineer to support its headless content management system platform used by prominent organizations like Oatly, Virgin Media O2, and TomTom. This fully remote position focuses on assisting the developer community, reducing onboarding friction, and acting as a company advocate across various communication channels. The role suits an experienced web professional who enjoys public speaking, writing technical guides, building sample applications, and interacting directly with enterprise clients and partner agencies.
In this capacity, you will help users overcome technical obstacles, resolve missing functionalities through custom scripts or tools, and contribute bug fixes and updates to open-source SDKs and sample projects. You will also represent the business at industry events, lead sponsored booths, and collaborate internally to help shape future documentation and product roadmaps.
Responsibilities
- Conduct workshops, author tutorials and documentation, lead product demonstrations, and produce instructional videos
- Develop sample apps, prototypes, and code samples to demonstrate headless architecture capabilities
- Identify and document technical issues or missing API and SDK features
- Contribute bug fixes and code updates to public open-source projects like starter kits and SDKs
- Engage with and monitor community channels including Discord, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Dev.to
- Represent the organization at virtual and in-person industry events and public speaking engagements
- Propose product enhancements based on direct feedback from enterprise customers and developers
Requirements
- Five or more years of web development experience
- Thorough knowledge of consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern JavaScript framework along with its fundamental principles
- Demonstrated experience with public speaking and organizing meetups or events
- Strong command of the English language with good communication skills across departments
- Proven AI literacy to leverage tools for enhanced productivity and decision-making
Qualifications
- General CMS experience, with headless CMS background considered a plus
- Familiarity with GraphQL APIs
- Background in technical writing
- Previous experience involving customer calls, developer support, or developer relations activities
