Datacor supplies software platforms such as ERP, CRM, Asset Tracking, Simulation, and Formulation to the process manufacturing sector, helping customers enhance their operational safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. In this remote position, interns will operate within a cross-functional team model to design, research, experiment with, and scale AI-driven products and services.
This role is well-suited for current graduate students who possess a strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, statistics, and programming, and who want to apply their knowledge to build production-grade solutions. Interns will take ownership of projects ranging from ideation to deployment, working with modern technologies like large language models and cloud platforms. While the role is entirely remote, there is potential for travel depending on business needs, your location, and scheduling factors.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to discover new artificial intelligence opportunities and design intelligent applications
- Drive minimal viable product development utilizing a test-and-learn strategy alongside cross-functional peers
- Progress from initial problem definition to prototyping and releasing production-ready solutions
- Construct and deliver dependable, scalable artificial intelligence features into production environments
- Develop functional prototypes alongside data pipelines designed for deployment
- Test generative large language models via prompts and user feedback to build and improve applications
- Present efforts and outcomes clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD degree program focusing on Computational Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related academic discipline
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python and C++ or Java gained through school projects or professional work
- Knowledge of deep learning, machine learning, statistics, and optimization obtained via practical application or coursework
- Experience implementing and fine-tuning generative artificial intelligence large language models
- Familiarity with natural language processing concepts including Transformer models, GPT, and embeddings
- Understanding of cloud computing and how to deploy artificial intelligence on Google Cloud or AWS
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter as well as collaboratively within a team
- Agreement not to utilize generative artificial intelligence tools or external assistance during live interview sessions
Qualifications
- Prior professional background or previous internship experience is preferred
- Proactive approach to keeping up with emerging artificial intelligence trends and new large language model releases
