The person in this role will focus heavily on building and supporting reliable data pipelines, establishing structured data transformations, and maintaining high standards for data hygiene.
As part of the engineering group, the incoming specialist will collaborate closely with product managers, analysts, and data scientists to fulfill organizational data requests. Daily duties center on developing multi-stage data architectures, utilizing modern transformation frameworks, and introducing rigorous verification methods to guarantee data dependability. Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and maintain multi-stage data warehouse infrastructure using Snowflake
- Build and manage ELT pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading information from diverse sources
- Implement and optimize dbt for data modeling, transformation, and documentation
- Deploy data testing procedures including unit tests, integration tests, and validation checks
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product managers to support data needs
- Monitor emerging data engineering technologies and industry best practices for continuous innovation
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in data engineering
- Expertise in Snowflake data warehousing technologies
- Proficiency with dbt for data transformation and modeling
- Expertise in data ingestion using both user interface tools and code-based methods
- Experience working with data orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality standards, and compliance
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools for data validation
