Responsibilities
- Provide management with timely and accurate credentialing reports and compliance status updates
- Develop effective credentialing strategies utilizing data analysis, operational observations, and regulatory standards
- Manage and oversee compliance and quality standards to guarantee adherence and provider satisfaction
- Coach and provide feedback to members of the credentialing staff
- Communicate with internal stakeholders, payers, and providers to resolve verification issues and meet expectations
- Monitor application queues and workflows against established timelines and targets
- Conduct root cause analysis on credentialing defects and execute corrective actions
- Lead initiatives to improve credentialing turnaround times and meet organizational maintenance goals
Requirements
- Hold a graduate or post-graduate degree
- Possess 6 to 7 years of hands-on medical coding and credentialing experience
- Accumulate at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role managing credentialing specialists
- Demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Display strong verbal and written communication skills in a professional manner
- Exhibit strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
Qualifications
- Earned CPC, COC, CCS, or CCS-P certification by AAPC or AHIMA
