Sezzle is seeking a Chargeback Operations Intern to join its team on a full-time, on-site basis. The company develops interest-free installment payment solutions designed to enhance consumer accessibility and drive merchant sales. In this role, the selected individual will evaluate and address card and ACH disputes filed against the company, operating within a fast-paced environment that offers opportunities for professional growth.
The position requires full-time availability from Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM Central Time. The ideal candidate possesses high intelligence and emotional intelligence, strong business judgment, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail. Responsibilities involve partnering closely with the fraud and risk divisions and customer dispute groups to resolve cases individually, assessing transaction data, and providing improvement recommendations to management. Candidates must also have practical experience utilizing Claude or similar large language model tools to support daily productivity, communication, and research tasks.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions within designated timeframes
- Partner cross-functionally with the fraud and disputes departments to determine appropriate actions for individual cases
- Examine individual transactions using internal methodologies and guidelines to spot emerging trends or patterns
- Analyze account patterns through internal tools and data systems
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, operations specialists, and fellow analysts to enhance loss prevention tools and processes
- Build and maintain strong domain knowledge regarding fraud prevention techniques and technologies
- Meet or exceed service level agreements for resolving queued cases to reduce potential financial losses
- Manage escalations from both internal and external stakeholders professionally and efficiently
- Leverage large language model tools such as Claude for productivity, communication, and research
Requirements
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm Central Time
- Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools
