Robinhood is seeking a Brokerage Operations Specialist to join its team in London. The company works on democratizing finance and building financial products as younger generations inherit significant wealth. This full-time position serves as the first-line brokerage operations lead in the United Kingdom.
This role suits an operations professional with a background in financial services who can navigate regulatory requirements and handle shifting priorities in an entrepreneurial setting. The position operates on-site in the London office, requiring in-person attendance at least three days per week.
The person in this role will drive the scaling and improvement of United Kingdom operations, manage outsourced business partners, and ensure adherence to relevant regulations such as Client Money and Asset rules and Consumer Duty. Responsibilities include utilizing data and artificial intelligence for process efficiency, leading incident response, and collaborating with cross-functional departments including risk, compliance, engineering, and finance.
Responsibilities
- Support the launch, scaling, and improvement of United Kingdom operations, tools, systems, and products
- Maintain first-line oversight of United Kingdom brokerage operations, risk management, transfer operations, and transaction reporting controls
- Align daily operations with Client Money and Asset regulations and support Consumer Duty customer outcomes
- Partner with internal teams such as compliance, risk, customer experience, finance, product, engineering, and vendor management
- Monitor and oversee operational business partners according to intercompany agreements and service level agreements
- Leverage data and artificial intelligence to improve operational processes and lower operational risk
- Maintain standard operating procedures and collaborate with the second-line risk and compliance team to operate controls
- Lead incident response, control remediation, root-cause analysis, and operational readiness for new launches
Requirements
- Reside in the United Kingdom with the ability to work in the London office at least three days per week
- Possess at least six years of operational experience specializing in the financial services industry
- Bring deep experience with United Kingdom brokerage operations, tax wrappers including individual savings account servicing, transfers, reconciliations, exception handling, and Client Money and Asset rules
- Demonstrate experience managing outsourced operational partners and enforcing service-quality standards, controls, and reconciliations
- Show experience working across large projects with multiple work streams and coordinating cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor degree or possess equivalent practical experience
- Possess certifications from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment
