In this position, the professional will shape enterprise AI architecture and governance for the employer's electronic health record platform. Responsibilities include defining solution blueprints for large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, classical machine learning, and AI services, alongside guiding technical choices involving Azure AI, Databricks, and data orchestration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage enterprise artificial intelligence architecture and governance for the electronic health record platform
  • Establish reference patterns and solution blueprints for large language model applications, retrieval-augmented generation, classical machine learning, and artificial intelligence services
  • Drive platform and tooling choices for Azure AI, Databricks, and data orchestration
  • Develop reusable accelerators such as evaluation harnesses, prompt libraries, and retrieval-augmented generation starter kits
  • Integrate HIPAA-aligned safeguards for protected health information and personally identifiable information into the software development life cycle and CI_CD gates
  • Define responsible artificial intelligence release criteria covering bias evaluations, model cards, and red-teaming
  • Manage the artificial intelligence architecture review process and collaborate with security and compliance teams
  • Guide engineering personnel regarding prompt design, grounding techniques, and legacy code modernization
  • Mentor developers on Azure AI Foundry and the secure application of GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot
  • Publish architecture decision records

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software or solution architecture
  • At least 5 years of experience working with artificial intelligence and machine learning systems
  • At least 2 years of experience leading enterprise artificial intelligence architecture or platform initiatives
  • Practical experience using Azure AI Foundry and OpenAI or Anthropic models
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, handling protected health information, and responsible artificial intelligence practices
  • Authorization to work full-time in the United States as a US Citizen or Green Card holder without current or future visa sponsorship
